Hi, I'm Brooke

I'm a software developer with interests in functional programming, systems programming, and programming language design. I am currently not working as I am recovering from serious illness, including multiple strokes.

I am also a musician. You can listen to all of my music on my neocities site.

I use she/her pronouns 🏳️‍⚧️. If you're curious, you can also read my blog where I talk about tech stuff that interests me.

Education

• Bachelor's in Computer Science from the Watson College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Binghamton University.

My work experience

• May 2023 - June 2026: Software Developer at Flexibits. Worked with C#, Objective-C, and C++.
• June - September 2022: Software Engineer at Tesla. Primarily worked with ARM embedded C.
• June - August 2021: Software Engineering Intern at Tesla. Primarily worked with Haskell.

Cool projects I've worked on

• rexc: Systems programming language. Written in Rust. Playground for implementing interesting language features.
• Badge: Dynamically typed functional programming language. Written in C++.
• LUMA 2019 Festival: I helped program (and wrote the music for) an art piece at the LUMA 2019 Projection Arts Festival in Binghamton, NY.
